OVERVIEW
Westwood Energy successfully completed a 225kW solar PV roof mount installation for A B Graphic International, a manufacturer of print finishing equipment in East Yorkshire. This project was part of a broader electrical upgrade, including a mains incoming upgrade and the construction of a new HV substation. HOW WE DID IT
The installation was meticulously planned to align with the client’s electrical upgrade and construction schedules. Modules were installed on all roof elevations—North, East, South, and West—taking advantage of the shallow pitch of the roof to maximise energy production. Coordination with other contractors ensured the project adhered to timelines, and the deployment of SolarEdge’s Firefighter Gateway guaranteed safety and compliance.
We also managed the mains incoming upgrade and worked closely with the DNO to facilitate the supply and build of a new HV substation, integrating all elements of the project smoothly.
OUR RESULTS
The solar PV system generates 186MWh annually, with 74% of the energy consumed on-site and 23% of import demand offset. This translates to significant annual savings of approximately £44,900, demonstrating the effectiveness of the installation in reducing energy costs and enhancing operational efficiency for A B Graphic International.
