What is solar PV and how does it work?
Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology converts sunlight into electricity using semiconductor materials, typically silicon, within solar cells.
When sunlight hits the cells, it excites electrons, creating an electric current that can be used as electricity. The generated direct current (DC) is then converted to an alternating current (AC) by an inverter, making it suitable for powering agricultural buildings and commercial premises.

The SolarEdge app gives you an easy-to-read view of your entire PV layout. This shows you energy production and consumption, giving you real-time illustrations of your power flow.
The app also enables you to identify underperforming modules, which may need maintenance, and gives historical data to help you maximise your energy production and usage.
Battery storage options
In periods of high output, you could be generating more electricity than you need. If this is the case, rather than selling the power you have generated to the National Grid, we can install battery storage so you can keep what you create and use it on an evening or during lower generating periods.
