What was achieved

Westwood Energy installed 480kW of PV to this new build garden centre, adventure play and retail site. Deploying Trina modules, Sunfixings mounting system and SolarEdge inverters/optimisers, we were able to deliver an industry leading solution with unmatched warranty. 4x SolarEdge inverters and 600x P850 SolarEdge optimisers were fitted to maximise the benefits of the installation and reduce the customers mains electricity demands by 37%.

To facilitate power supply to the new buildings and EV charging network, Westwood Energy were able to combine all our expertise in one project. As well as deploying a state of the art PV system, we were able to deliver a new 2MVA grid connection, with private 11kV network supply an 800kVA transformer for the garden centre, and a 1.2MVA transformer for the unrestricted operation of 1.2MW of EV Charging. Due to Distribution Network Operator limitations on site, we were also required to deploy export limiting (G100) devices and, due to the nature of the connection (HV), reverse power relays.

The EV Charging network installed comprises of 2no. 50kW custom wrapped and 50no. 22kW Compleo EV chargers. These chargers are all app enabled for simple operation and payment.
